Co-produced Pioneer Works' largest event to date — a 9,000-person public celebration of the 2024 Great North American Solar Eclipse.
In partnership with Green-Wood Cemetery and the Simons Foundation's Path of Totality initiative, Pioneer Works produced a free public celebration of the 2024 Great North American Solar Eclipse — one of the last opportunities to view a total solar eclipse from New York City for decades.
Working alongside the Amateur Astronomers Association as well as educator and artist collaborators, I conceived of and produced the program: telescopic viewing alongside artist-led activations, including a gong sound bath, and self-guided explorations across the historic cemetery grounds.
With 9,000 attendees, it remains the largest single event in Pioneer Works' history.
